Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how QuickClear ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the iOS application. By using QuickClear you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who we are

QuickClear is operated by Daniel Kholodov (the "Developer"), Germany. Contact: quickclearphotocleaner@gmail.com.

2. Summary

QuickClear processes your photos entirely on your device. Your photos never leave your iPhone.
We do not show advertising and we do not sell personal data.
We use Firebase Analytics for anonymous product-usage data and AppsFlyer to measure which marketing channels bring new users.
The only data exchanged with third parties is what Apple, RevenueCat, Firebase, and AppsFlyer need to process payments, provide analytics, and attribute installs.

3. Photos and the Photo Library

QuickClear requests access to your Photo Library so you can review, organize, and delete your own photos. All photo processing — including any on-device AI grouping, duplicate detection, and image analysis — happens locally on your device using Apple's PhotoKit, Vision, and Core ML frameworks. Photos are never uploaded, copied to a server, or shared with the Developer or any third party.

Deletion of photos is performed through the standard iOS Photo Library APIs and is subject to your confirmation through the iOS system dialog.

4. Subscriptions and payments

QuickClear offers optional paid subscriptions. Purchases are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We use RevenueCat, Inc. as a subscription management provider to validate receipts and manage entitlements.

When you make a purchase, the following information may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat:

An anonymous app-specific user identifier
Your subscription status, product identifier, and purchase/expiration dates
Country/region and device type as reported by the App Store

We do not receive your name, email address, billing address, or payment card information. Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies apply to data they process:

5. Local data stored on your device

The App stores the following locally on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework:

Your curation decisions (keep, delete, etc.) so the App remembers what you have reviewed
A staged deletion queue until you confirm deletion
Aggregated, anonymous usage counts used to enforce the free-tier limit
Your in-app preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the App removes it.

6. Analytics

QuickClear uses Google Firebase Analytics (provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to understand how the App is used in aggregate and to improve features and stability. Firebase processes:

Anonymous, app-instance-level event data (e.g. screen views, taps on features, subscription paywall views)
Device model, OS version, language/region, app version
An Firebase App Instance ID, which is reset when you reinstall the App or reset advertising identifiers
Approximate location derived from IP address (city-level only; the IP itself is not retained for analytics)

We have configured Firebase so that no Google Ads SDKs are integrated and Google Analytics data sharing with other Google products is disabled.

Firebase data may be processed on Google servers in the United States. Google relies on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses as a legal basis for the transfer. See Google's policies: firebase.google.com/support/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not show advertising inside the App.

7. Attribution and marketing measurement

To understand which marketing channels lead users to install the App, we use AppsFlyer Ltd. (Israel) as a mobile measurement and attribution provider. AppsFlyer processes:

An AppsFlyer ID (an anonymous app-instance identifier)
The Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) — only if you grant permission through the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; otherwise IDFA is not collected
The Vendor Identifier (IDFV), device model, OS version, language, time zone, and IP address (truncated for analytics)
The advertising campaign or referral source that led to your install
Subscription and purchase events, to measure ad effectiveness
Apple's SKAdNetwork / AdAttributionKit postbacks, which are privacy-preserving attribution signals managed by iOS

AppsFlyer data is used solely for: install attribution, marketing measurement, fraud prevention, and aggregated reporting. We do not use it to build advertising profiles inside the App.

Because AppsFlyer may correlate activity across apps when you grant IDFA permission, the App presents the iOS App Tracking Transparency dialog. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", no IDFA is collected and attribution falls back to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork only.

AppsFlyer is headquartered in Israel and may process data on servers in the United States and the European Union. See AppsFlyer's privacy policy: appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy.

8. Children

QuickClear is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Your rights (GDPR / EU)

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, most data-subject rights under the GDPR are fulfilled by your control over the device. You retain the right to:

Revoke Photo Library access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos
Cancel your subscription via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
Delete all local app data by uninstalling QuickClear

For data processed by Apple or RevenueCat, please contact those providers directly.

10. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

Categories collected: identifiers (Firebase App Instance ID, AppsFlyer ID, and IDFA if you opted in), internet/electronic activity (app event data), geolocation data (approximate, IP-derived), and commercial information (subscription status).
Purpose: analytics, product improvement, install attribution, marketing measurement, and subscription management.
"Sale" or "sharing": We do not sell personal information for money. We may "share" limited identifiers (e.g. IDFA, when permitted via ATT) with our attribution provider AppsFlyer for cross-context attribution measurement. You can opt out at any time by selecting "Ask App Not to Track" in the ATT prompt or by disabling IDFA in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Retention: Firebase analytics data and AppsFlyer attribution data are retained per the respective provider's default retention. Subscription data is retained as long as your subscription is active plus as required by applicable accounting law.

11. Security

Because data stays on your device and is protected by iOS sandboxing and encryption-at-rest, security primarily depends on the security of your device itself (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, iOS updates).

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will additionally be communicated within the App.
